Today, we went to market number two, namely Albert Cuyp Markt, which is the biggest and probably most famous market in Amsterdam. It also offers almost everything you can imagine, even pink flowers with glitter on them (I didn’t buy them, though!). The photo shows some traditional Dutch food: Kibbelings. It’s fried fish you can get with different sauces. I eat it every time I’m in the Netherlands. The name comes from „kabeljauwwangetjes“ which are pieces of codfish (German: Kabeljau). In the past, Kibbelings were sort of leftovers from the fish after it was cut into pieces. Nowadays, it’s mostly other, cheaper fish.
