I feel it’s time for an English post since my life has become quite German again. I have wanted to try cake pops for some months, but I always thought it would be too much an effort. But I really wanted something sweet for the birthday of my colleague, so I decided to finally try them! The recipe is quite simple after all: you just need a cake, 70 g of cream cheese, 140 g of sugar powder, decorations and cake pop sticks. You start by mixing the cheese and sugar until they become a smooth mass, then crumble the cake into it and mix again. Then you can form tiny balls. After they have spent an hour in the fridge, it’s time to decorate them. I have made three different kinds of cake pops: one with multicoloured sprinkles, one with pink sprinkles (of course!) and one with chocolate. Put them in the fridge again and ta-daaa, the super delicious cake pops are ready to be devoured! Until decoration time, they were quite easy to make. Then you have to pay attention so that the sticks don’t fall out all the time and that they don’t stick to the surface you use. Better put some plastic wrap underneath. When finished, they are a really yummy and creative birthday present if you want to have something different than cake or cupcakes or muffins.
